Welcome to African Shark Eco Charters

Great White Shark Cage diving in Gansbaai!

Book your dream trip of Great White Shark Diving. Dive at the famous Shark Alley, off Gansbaai, where the Great White Sharks are roaming the waters hunting the 60,000 seals in the waters.

Gansbaai is a fishing village situated on the Whale coast 2.5 hrs from Cape Town. It is known for its dense population of Great White Sharks and as a good whale-watching location.

Great White Shark cage diving at Gansbaai is done in a narrow channel called Shark Alley, which is the open stretch of water between Dyer Island and nearby Geyser Island.

Dyer Island is the largest of a group of islands about six kilometers from the Gansbaai harbor. The island is home to thousands of African Penguins.

Geyser Rock is a smaller island nearby, and is home to around 60,000 thousand Cape Fur Seals.

During October-March, we would recommend shark viewing in Gansbaai when shark sightings in False Bay dwindle during the course of the summer months. Although this is low season for shark activity in South Africa, "Shark Alley" in Gansbaai still produces activity that is worth viewing.

Launch times are 8.30-09.00 However, these times are a guideline and it is advised you contact the operator at 15:00pm the day before the proposed launch to confirm times and weather conditions.

We guarantee that any Great White Shark Cage Diving trips booked through us are completely eco-friendly. Great white sharks are wild animals and sightings can never be guaranteed.

Join us for a great adventure of great white shark cage diving and great white shark breaching: False Bay trips.
